How I Make My (Easy) Christmas Gift Bows

I get comments all the time on how I tie my bows for presents, so I thought I'd share the process with y'all today.  It's one of my favorite fake-outs...really, it's one of the easiest things you'll ever do.  If you can tie your shoes, you can tie this bow.

I originally got this idea years ago from Sarah...I think she posted it on Instagram, and I've been using it ever since.  All you'll need is scissors and wrapping tulle...I usually get a year's worth from Hobby Lobby when it's on sale during Christmas, but the link to Amazon above has it for about the same price.  Make sure you get a lot, you'll use more than you think to tie each bow (I probably go through 2-3 of the big rolls at Christmas each year).

First off, measure your tulle like I have it below.  Measure out enough that you could tie a bow with a little bit of leftover.

Cut this, and cut 4-5 more strands that are the same length.

Next, take all of your pieces and bundle together, and tie the first part of your simple bow...just loop the pieces together like I have them above.

Finish tying the "shoelace bow," making sure the end pieces hanging out are about the same length as the loops.

Then, put your scissors through each loop and cut the ends.

Now, fluff!

See, told you that was easy!  Once you start tying bows this way you'll never go back...it looks so pretty and is so incredibly easy.

Now get to wrapping those presents! :)
