My biggest tip is to put things that you use the most in easy-to-access areas . I like to put healthy snacks and drinks in bottom drawers so kids can easily grab them. The only "requirement" for where to place items in your fridge is that easy-to-spoil items (like milk and raw meat) need to go in the back of the fridge, where it's coldest.

Accepted Answer

I've owned both a side-by-side fridge and a French door with a bottom freezer - I much prefer the French door. The side-by-side is just too narrow to store bigger items and seems to awkwardly divide your organization areas.
