Accessibility Statement for Lamberts Lately
Last Updated: October 2025
Lamberts Lately is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. I want all visitors to be able to access my content-recipes, printables, DIY tutorials, and articles-without barriers, regardless of technology or ability.
Our Commitment
I aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which outline how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor challenges. These guidelines also make websites more user-friendly for everyone.
Current Status
Lamberts Lately is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. That means many parts of the site already meet these standards, but some areas still need improvement. Accessibility is an ongoing effort as I continue to update site content, design elements, and tools.
Areas currently under review include:
- Older posts that may lack descriptive alt text on images
- Color contrast issues on legacy graphics and buttons
- Keyboard navigation improvements within recipe cards and printables pages
Steps We're Taking
To continually improve accessibility, I'm taking the following actions:
- Running regular automated and manual audits using trusted accessibility tools and checklists
- Adding descriptive alt text to all new and existing images
- Reviewing color contrast and font readability across templates
- Ensuring that all new posts, printables, and navigation menus work with screen readers and keyboard input
- Scheduling quarterly accessibility checks and an annual full-site review
Reporting Accessibility Issues
Despite best efforts, there may still be areas that aren't fully accessible. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the site, please let me know ASAP so I can fix it.

Third-Party Content
Lamberts Lately sometimes links to or embeds content from external websites, videos, or platforms. While I can't control the accessibility of third-party content, I do my best to choose sources that follow accessibility best practices.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is not a one-time project-it's an ongoing part of my website maintenance. As new technology, standards, and content are added, I'll continue reviewing and improving this site to make sure it stays usable for everyone.
