I like to give children a mix of personal care habits and home care responsibilities on a chore chart. This is going to change and become more complex as kids get older. Having kids check off these responsibilities daily is a great way to build those habits!

Accepted Answer

This is another question that's going to change as kids get older. I paid my kids 10 cents per chore when they were younger; it's worked up to a dollar a chore now. However, the chores are more complex and take longer as they get older too, so the pay goes up as the time and effort to complete go up.
