Ingredients
2literlemon lime soda(chilled)
10ozcanned crushed pineapple(with juice)
12ozrainbow sherbet(slightly thawed)
Instructions
Combine base. Slowly pour the chilled lemon-lime soda into a large punch bowl to preserve the carbonation. Add the entire can of crushed pineapple with its juice and stir gently.
Add sherbet. Use a sturdy ice cream scoop to drop large scoops of the rainbow sherbet evenly across the top of the soda mixture.
Rest and stir. Let the bowl sit undisturbed for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the signature creamy foam to form on top. Give it one quick, light stir and serve immediately.
Notes
Do not drain: Keep all the natural juice in the canned crushed pineapple; it flavors the soda base.
Skip the ice: Never add ice cubes directly to the bowl, as they will water down the punch and ruin the fizz. You can use frozen fruit if needed.
Assemble fresh: Do not make this ahead of time or save leftovers. The soda goes flat and the sherbet melts completely after a few hours.
Bowl sizing: Ensure your punch bowl or pitcher holds at least 90 to 100 ounces to prevent overflows.
