1.5
cups
old-fashioned rolled oats
(not quick oats)
⅔
cup
creamy peanut butter
⅓
cup
honey or maple syrup
½
cup
mini chocolate chips
(optional, but recommended)
Instructions
Mix the Wet Base:
In a medium bowl, stir the creamy peanut butter and honey/maple syrup together vigorously until completely smooth and emulsified.
Fold in Dry Ingredients:
Add the old-fashioned rolled oats and mini chocolate chips. Stir with a sturdy spatula until the oats are thoroughly coated.
Chill the Dough:
Place the bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes. Chilling firms up the natural fats, ensuring the mixture won't stick to your hands.
Scoop and Roll:
Portion the chilled dough into uniform mounds using a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop. Roll gently between your palms until smooth.
Storage:
Place the finished balls in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
