Introduction

I didn't quite expect my cinnamon roll recipe to be as popular as it has been. I posted the one I've used for years and it kind of took off! There have actually been times that my blog crashed because of this one recipe. It's that good.

I mentioned in that post that I use this recipe to make neighbor gifts for Christmas. It's a super personal touch (and not a difficult or expensive gift). Make a big batch of these cinnamon rolls all at once and freeze them. Then, attach paper plates/forks/napkins so your neighbors don't have to do dishes on Christmas morning. These have been an absolute hit in our neighborhood!

I can't totally take credit for this idea. A friend posted her version a few years ago and I thought it was an amazing idea. So I customized the printable to my needs. I thought I'd share it in case you guys wanted to use it too!

How to Package Christmas Cinnamon Rolls

Once you print your cinnamon roll gift tags (download link towards the bottom of the post), combine the tags with a cute set of plates. The ones I originally used for this post were from Walmart, but are no longer sold. These plates are a great substitution that matches the tags.

I also like to add in plastic forks and paper napkins. Simply tuck those in underneath the ribbon with the plates.

Then, tie the gift tags on with cute ribbon (again, Walmart, no longer sold – close match here). You have a super personal and crowd-pleaser of a neighbor gift.

The instructions needed for reheating these frozen cinnamon rolls are all on the tag. The user needs to bake in the oven, covered with aluminum foil, for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. You can also uncover for a few minutes if needed to get the cinnamon rolls golden brown.

This reheat method warms the bread/filling and makes the cream cheese frosting to the perfect consistency, warm and gooey. They'll have a perfect Christmas morning breakfast! No extra ingredients are needed.

The foil doesn't look great…I know. The pans I had on hand didn't come with lids. I recommend buying pans like this if you're packing these up for a lot of people. These pans fit 6-7 cinnamon rolls each…perfect for a gift!

Of course, use what you've got. If you have lid-less pans on hand, aluminum foil works just fine.

How to Add Your Family Name to the Gift Tag

I took out the Lamberts at the bottom for you to customize to your needs. If you'd like to match the font, it's called Caviar Dreams (one of my most used fonts!). Simply open this graphic in editing software like canva and add your text.

I normally give homemade hot cocoa mix to my family for Christmas. I plan on switching to these cinnamon rolls this year. I’d love to download the printable tag, but cannot find a link to download it.
