Should I use the chili/soup setting on the Instant Pot?

In my opinion, the chili or soup setting on the Instant Pot really isn't necessary. The manual setting works in almost anything you can do with your pressure cooker. I used the high manual setting in this recipe.

Does turkey chili taste different than beef chili?

Accepted Answer

It does taste a little bit different. The ground turkey is a little bit lighter than ground beef, and the flavor is a little different (think of the difference in shredded turkey and shredded beef). It's not better or worse, just a variation on the original!

How do I add more depth of flavor to chili?

Accepted Answer

If the recipe is a little bland for your taste, start with the classic salt and pepper. Try 2 teaspoons of each. If that doesn't cut it, try adding 2 teaspoons of chili powder, cumin, or garlic powder.
