This easy recipe for spice cabinet guacamole uses simple staple ingredients to make a delicious Mexican dip. Great idea for a healthy homemade snack!
Friends, I have an incredibly easy recipe for you today! You probably have most of the ingredients needed for spice cabinet guacamole on hand right now.
Sometimes you need the yumminess of guacamole in the cooler months, when ingredients like cilantro and fresh lime aren't readily available. And I know that I simply don't keep every ingredient for guacamole on hand all the time – that's a whole lot of produce. But, I typically have at least a couple of avocados on hand, and I most definitely have a spice cabinet packed full of flavor – use both of those to make this super easy and delicious dip!
Besides the avocados, every ingredient in this recipe can probably be found in your spice cabinet right now. This makes it so convenient to make “fresh” guacamole anytime you'd like. I made this a few weeks ago and nobody in my family knew any different – it tastes strikingly similar to the real deal.
Of course, if you have those fresh ingredients on hand, toss them in! A little bit of cilantro or lime juice would complement this really well. But they're not required to give you the flavor of your favorite guac.
The spice in this one can also be dialed up or down depending on the pepper used. The recipe as written has just a little bit of a kick; add more crushed red pepper to really turn the heat up!
