The Lamberts' 2017 Christmas Card

Thanks to Minted for providing product for this post. My favorable opinion of their products is my own.

As is tradition here at Lamberts Lately, I'm so excited to bring you our 2017 Christmas card today!

For the past five years, I've partnered with Minted to design a gorgeous Christmas card that sums up our life that year. You can take a peek back at cards of years' past here. Ever since I started browsing their gorgeous cards years ago, I've had an idea in mind for this year's card...and it ended up being more gorgeous and special than I ever could have imagined. I've wanted to highlight our new home in this year's card for the longest time!

When browsing Minted's site, you might have noticed that they have a selection of "first year in new home" cards that can act as both moving announcements and holiday cards. Since we moved into our new home in late October, this was the perfect opportunity to use one of those cards. I remember browsing through them for the past few years and dreaming of the day I could use one to tell family and friends that we had moved...and the day is finally here! Now that (most of) the cards have reached their destinations, I am so happy to share them with you guys as well. If I could send each of you one, I would...instead, take this post as our Christmas greeting to you.

I loved so many of their card choices, but something about the "There's No Place Like Home" card stuck out to me...it just felt so cozy and kind of fit our current mood perfectly. I snapped this quick picture of the kids on our front steps a few weeks ago, which ended up working with the color scheme of the card I chose perfectly. This card ended up being a great way to let loved ones know about our new address (one I hope is not going to be changing again for a very, very long time)...why not kill two birds with one stone by sending a moving announcement and Christmas card in one? (I photoshopped out our address in these photos, but it appears right above the picture in the actual card.)

I took advantage of Minted's free recipient addressing again this year. It is a great way to keep all of your Christmas card addresses in one place (updating as needed), make prepping the cards ten times easier, and just make the envelopes so pretty! There are a ton of different design choices for the envelope addressing. I also love that I really just have to stuff the envelopes and put a stamp on the envelope, saving hours of prep work once the cards come in. I literally had most cards in the mail within an hour of getting the package.

Since I'm unable to send a Christmas card to each and every one of you, I hope you love this "virtual Christmas card!" I absolutely adore my readers and the community they've helped me build with this blog. Your support and your interest in my little corner of the internet will never cease to amaze me...thank you for being a huge part of my extended family!
