Smothered Pork Chops Recipe
This one time, I made an awesome recipe. It turned out great. I snapped a picture because I just had to share it on here.
Fast forward two weeks…I sit down to write the post, and I totally can't remember the recipe.
So, I had to remake it. This should be very similar to the original one, so this picture shouldn't be too misleading! 🙂
Smothered Pork Chops
Ingredients
4 boneless pork chops
1 tbsp olive oil
salt/pepper
1 onion
2 tbsp flour
1 pack Knorr Concentrated Beef Stock
2 tbsp butter
water
Directions
Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops. In a large pot, heat the olive oil and drop in the pork chops. Brown on each side for 3-4 minutes (it's ok if they aren't all the way cooked through yet). Set aside.
In the same pot, heat the butter and drop in the onions. Cook until translucent. Add in the flour and cook for maybe 30 seconds. Add the beef stock and maybe 1/2 cup of water – stir well until it starts to thicken and everything is incorporated.
Add the pork chops back in. Simmer until the pork chops are cooked through and the gravy thickens to desired consistency (add more water if it gets too thick). Salt and pepper to taste.
Wow! That looks super delicious! Great recipe! My hubby is a huge sucker for shrimp dishes!
