Doesn't everything just taste better when it's cooked on a grill?
We've got a few favorite grilling recipes. Unfortunately, our grill has been broken since the beginning of summer…boo. So the George Foreman grill has had to do lately! 🙂
Here's one of Noah's favorites…it's easy and turns out great! Take a big sheet of aluminum foil and rub it with a stick of butter until there's a good coat on the bottom. Layer zucchini, squash, and onions. Lay a few fish fillets on top of that. Then, squirt a lemon on that, add another layer of zucchini, squash, and onions, and pour melted butter on the top. Add another layer of aluminum foil (kind of like a sandwich). Put all of that on the grill until the veggies are tender and the fish is cooked through. VERY good…and not too bad for you!
Our favorite steak marinade is simple too…mix equal parts Tony Chachere's and olive oil in a big gallon sized bag. Add your steaks for about 30 minutes. They'll be a little spicy, but they have an awesome flavor! We got this from an idea Emeril Lagasse had, and just adapted it to our own idea!
The picture above is one night when we grilled asparagus too…AWESOME if you do it right! I marinate mine in 1/2c Italian Dressing and 1/2c Worcestershire Sauce for 2 hours before. We got one of those awesome grill pans with the holes in the bottom for Christmas last year, so we use that! It gives it a really good flavor. Leave it on the grill for 5-10 minutes, until you can hold it up and it starts looking a little bend-y (don't you love my scientific explanations?).
