Jackson – you’re 4 months old! How are we already a third of the way to your first birthday? I still see you as such a teeny baby, but looking back at your other monthly posts just shows how much you’ve grown, even since last month!
Here’s what you’re up to right now.
You weighed in at 18.6 pounds yesterday morning. That puts you in the 95th percentile for weight…slightly above where you’ve been on the growth chart!
You’re up to 27″ long now. That’s in the 98th percentile…again, a little above your growth curve now!
The 6 month clothes are getting pretty snug. I might be able to squeeze another week or two out of them before we need to switch over to 9 month clothes!
Size 2 diapers are pretty snug now. And we are currently sitting on 3 unused boxes of them that can’t be returned to Amazon (anybody know a baby in size 2s? I’ll cut their parents a great deal on a lot of diapers. ;)). You’ve been wearing size 3’s at night for a few weeks now, but we’re pretty close to switching over to 3s full-time!
Still really not a perfectly timed schedule, but we’re out and about a lot more than I was with sister, so it works out pretty well that you aren’t a consistently scheduled baby. You really just eat whenever you cry! Sometimes it’s every couple of hours, sometimes its as much as 4. You get a bottle maybe once a week now and the rest is nursing. When you do take a bottle, it’s usually between 5-6 ounces.
Still not bad for a 4 month old! You are usually up between 7-8 in the morning, take about an hour nap at mid-morning, take a 2-3 hour nap in the mid-afternoon, and cat nap in the evening (anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour). You’ve been going to bed at around 7-7:30 and you sleep through the night, except for one feeding sometime from 3-5am.
As long as you’re taken care of, you really are just the happiest baby! If you need something you’re definitely going to let us know.
You do still love being held. Daddy calls it the “arm flu.” 🙂 You would sleep in our arms all the time if you could.
We think teething might be starting. You’ve been super drooly, a little more fussy when you need something, and you chew on your fist constantly. If you’re anything like your sister, you’ll be teething for a month or two before we see any teeth!
You love standing up! You can actually stand with us supporting you for maybe 10 seconds at a time.
You can roll from your belly to back, and you are sooo close to rolling from back to belly. That arm just keeps getting in the way!
You will just talk and talk, usually right after you wake up. You are so expressive when you talk. I would love to know what you are saying!
We love you, Bobo!
