What makes you feel beautiful? When I ask this, I’m not just talking about how you look when you see yourself in the mirror. What makes you feel like you’re being your best self?
Finding a balance is the #1 thing that makes me feel beautiful. I feel the best I can when I can successfully juggle being a wife, mommy, cleaner, cook, blogger, money manager, and the hundred other descriptors that outline my everyday. It seems like as soon as I figure out how to handle each area of life, the universe seems to throw another curve ball in there (hello, newborn baby). But that’s ok – I kind of like it that way. The challenge of being successful in each of these areas is what drives me each and every day. And on the (somewhat uncommon) occasion that I’m able to juggle them all, I feel like my best self.
Taking care of myself while trying to balance all of these responsibilities can be a little bit of a challenge. I think the best way to ensure I’m taken care of in the midst of the chaos is setting aside a little bit of “mental health time” each day. It might not be very much time, but I try to at least carve a few minutes out to kind of reset and recharge.
For example, my shower time is my sacred time. Those are the few moments that I get to step away from being a mommy/wife/household CEO and just take care of myself. It’s my thinking time, my time to declutter my brain from the million thoughts that run through it in the day. In the end, having a few little breaks in the day definitely makes me a better mom to my kids and wife to my husband.
During this time, I like to have products that take care of me and the issues I might be facing. Being your best also means you’re confident in your own body…that makes addressing any issues that make you feel less than your best. These issues are constantly changing with different seasons of life. Right now, I have most definitely entered the postpartum hair slump. My hair has become so dry and lifeless. So, a couple of weeks ago, I switched my hair care products up a little bit to accommodate the current season.
Garnier® Whole Blends™ Coconut Water & Vanilla Milk Extracts Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hydrating Mask products have gone a long way in revamping my lifeless hair situation. These products quench and soften my dehydrated hair. In the few weeks of using these, I can tell a difference in the look and feel of my hair. They give it moisture and softness without weighing it down (something that is crucial for my fine hair). Plus, the smell is absolutely amazing…think of a light, sweet coconut smell.
The whole line of Garnier® Whole Blends™ products is paraben-free and gentle enough for everyday use. And, not only can you be your best when using these, but you can make sure you’re helping to take care of the world around you as well. These products’ packaging is made of recyclable PET plastic with 30% Post-Consumer Recycled waste. They are produced in a facility that’s committed to sustainability and has reduced its waste and water consumption per unit by approximately 58% and 47% respectively since 2005. Garnier® has even partnered with TerraCycle® to keep beauty products out of landfills.
There are a lot of different facets to feeling beautiful. Yes, looking great is part of that, but I think feeling great is an even bigger aspect. When you feel confident and balanced, it shows. There might be nobody else on earth that notices how my hair feels…but if I am uncomfortable with it, I think that’s what can affect beauty. I love that the Garnier® Whole Blends™ line is tailored to address lots of different issues that can help a woman feel her most beautiful!
