Thoughts on a Monday

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

-Does anybody ever feel like they just need another weekend?  That's where I am right now.  There is just so much going on.  I'm calling contractors and repairmen for estimates, trying to figure out where we are with insurance, managing a rental unit we've still got in Tuscaloosa...I'm doing my best to stay above water at this point.  Anybody that says they'd be bored as a stay at home mom needs to come follow me around this week.

-I went to Tuscaloosa Friday to check on the house and meet with the adjuster.  No real surprises - I had already been told pretty much everything we found.  It doesn't look great, but it could be a lot worse.  Now we're just hoping we can find some very quick repairmen and the checks from insurance don't take too long.  Time is money right now! :)

-Oh...did I mention that my car broke down in the middle of Tuscaloosa Friday?  Oh yes, yes it did.  Right in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in town, it died.  Want to talk about being mortified?  Luckily, my dad came to the rescue (not sure what I would have done without him).  It's currently in the shop in looks like it's a not-so-huge repair.  All I have to say is thank God for insurance - as rough as last week was, it would have been even worse without it.

-After that happened Friday, I think Noah sensed I was about to break down Friday night.  So, he went fishing with his dad Saturday and took Emma Ramey to his mom's house for the day, leaving me a day to catch up and get in some pool time.  It was very, very needed!

-I might be the only person in America not eating/cooking Mexican food tonight.  Sorry - the meal plan didn't include it, and I just don't have the energy to plan another meal.

-I have officially been sucked down the Grey's rabbit hole.  I've watched just about the first three seasons on Netflix in the past few weeks.  I forgot how good the first few seasons were.  The ones I've seen lately were kind of meh, but man there used to be such a good plot line!

-Does anybody have any recommendations for a good, light summer BB cream or tinted moisturizer?  I normally wear Revlon Colorstay, but it's just a little too heavy for summer.  Any recommendations are appreciated!

-Just an FYI - Dollar Tree has lots of fun pool toys right now!  I realized we needed a few when Emmie took a slinky and a plastic play band-aid to the pool yesterday.  We went and stocked up - can't beat $7 for everything you need!

-My sleep cycle is all kinds of messed up.  I crashed at 4:00 yesterday afternoon...only to sleep until 9. Whoops.  So I was up until 3, back up at 8:30.  Let's all say a prayer that evens out.
