Mother's Day

I really had a great Mother's Day this year.  My favorite days are those that are laid back and not over-planned.  Noah knows this, so we really had a low-key, relaxing day.

I woke up (at 10:00, by the way) to a big cup of coffee, a card "designed" by Emma Ramey, and a note that told me to go buy the Tory Burch Miller's I've been eyeing for a few weeks. :) Like I said - Noah knows what I like.

For brunch, we went to my favorite local restaurant.  They have insanely good, locally-sourced food and a really fun atmosphere.

And, in what I'm pretty sure was Emmie's highlight of the day, we went home and made strawberry ice cream!

We all took naps that afternoon, went to dinner with Emmie's Nana, and called Emmie's Mimi that night.

I don't take for granted for one second that I got to celebrate this day.  I remember the years that Mother's Day was a pretty rough one.  Whether you want a baby and can't have it, or have lost a baby, I know that day can be hard - and just know, that if you're one of those women, I was thinking about you Sunday.  I might be on the other side, but it doesn't mean I forget how it felt.

I am so lucky to be this girl's Mommy!
