WE HAVE A CONTRACT ON OUR HOUSE!!!! It all went down last week - right in the middle of planning Emma Ramey's birthday and family coming in town. When it rains, it pours, right? But this was the good kind of rain.
If all goes as planned, we should close at the end of April. I cannot say enough for our realtor. She is so sweet, easy to work with, and most importantly, effective! We ended up switching after our 6-month contract was up with the previous one, and Tricia had a contract on our house within 2 weeks. Amazing! I wish we had gone with her to begin with.
This is such a huge weight off our shoulders! Paying a mortgage when your house isn't being used at all is never fun. Now we can start thinking about where we want a more permanent house to be in Mississippi!
We have been absolutely loving this weather! It has been not too hot, not to cold, and sunny every day. We've spent a lot of time outside this week!
Some of our time was spent at an amazing local park. We've also been house-sitting for my in-laws, and it's been really nice to have a whole backyard for Emma Ramey to play. Definitely one of the downsides to apartment living. We picked a good week to stay here!
Have I mentioned this girl has no fear??
This week, I saw something pop up on my Twitter feed about a DietBet. I'd never heard of it. So I got to reading, and it is a really fun idea! Every person participating puts $25 in the pot, and everybody that loses 4% of their body weight in 4 weeks gets to split the pot.
And before you think someone can cheat their way into the winner circle, think again. They are super duper professional about making sure you don't lie about your weight. You have to take pictures on the scale, with code words and everything. It's kind of intimidating!
Shannon is hosting one, so I thought I'd join in! I'm excited to see how it goes. There's still time to join in on this one if you'd like!
This might somewhat limit the success of the idea above...I'm 99% sure I broke my toe yesterday. Klutzy me stumped (or stubbed? Is it stubbed? I've never known.) my toe on a chair in the living room. I'll spare you from having to see a picture - but it's huge and bruised and ugly. Not to mention it hurts like the devil. And thus ends my 29 year "no broken bone" streak.
On a somewhat related note, we have a formal event to go to this weekend...so that should be interesting. I think I'll be the only girl there in Rainbows.
Some girls get excited over new clothes - I get excited over new nail polishes. I was browsing some of the Spring 2014 colors last night...aren't they pretty? These were my favorites.
I've been meaning to buy a bottle of Orly Bonder too...I've heard really good things about it. Any experiences? Good, bad?
