Whirlpool at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014

The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has come and gone…and Whirlpool rolled out an amazing new set of innovations!

I talked about a few of the ideas Whirlpool was introducing in this post.  Here's a recap of what they showed off last week!

Designer Duets Washer/Dryer Series

Whirlpool showed a few of the many options you have for customizing your own pair of Designer Duets in this video:

The possibilities with this are just about endless!  I love that you can really put your personality into an appliance that can look a little boring sometimes.  It makes doing the laundry a little bit more fun. :)

Whirlpool also promoted the Wash Squad app, which can actually make getting your family to do laundry entertaining.  View cycle guides, let your family earn points for doing laundry, and much more.  You can try it right now for free!  (Click the link above from a mobile phone to download.)

MaxArt Microwaves

When I first posted about the expressive, beautiful MaxArt Microwaves that Whirlpool introduced at CES, I hadn't seen how many beautiful designs they introduced.  This video shows them a little bit better.

Isn't it great to have a way to bring some individuality and expression in the kitchen?

CoolVox Refrigerator

I think, of all the products Whirlpool introduced at CES, this CoolVox Refrigerator is my favorite.  The idea of bringing music and Podcasts into the kitchen with quality sound is genius.  But I didn't realize how beautiful and functional this refrigerator was until they rolled it out at CES!  This video really shows the functionality of this fridge:

As somebody that will probably be in the market for a new refrigerator in the near future, this one is definitely on my radar!  Anything that can combine functionality and beauty works in my book.

Interactive Cooktop

Even though this is a concept-only product, I think it is SO exciting to think this could be the future of our kitchens!  In the last post, I was only able to show you pictures of this concept.  In this video, you can see it in action!

Isn't that incredible?  Can you imagine a kitchen where the cooktop functions like this?

All of this has me so excited about the future of home appliance innovations.  I love to think that, one day, all of our appliances will be connected to help us maximize our time at home even more!
