Oh, hey world. Nice to see you again.
We're finally digging out of stomach virus 2013. Noah made a fun Christmas-themed nickname for this week, but I'll spare you of that one.
It's been a rough few days.
But I'll back up a little - let's look at Christmas Week!
We had a great time in Tuscaloosa for Christmas Eve!
I spent a good bit of the day Monday and Tuesday packing the house. Most of the kitchen is done, and some of the closets are finished now too. My mom was able to watch her some and let me get some serious work done.
Christmas Eve night, we celebrated with my parents. I'm sure you can guess this girl got a present or two.
We put out cookies for Santa once we got home…even if the milk was in a sippie cup because mom forgot to leave out a real cup from packing. Oops. Santa forgives me, I'm sure.
Santa was very good to Emma Ramey this year! Lots of books and bath items (her favorite), and a dollhouse that she has played with non-stop so far. I think she was happy with it!
We headed back to Mississippi Christmas afternoon to see the other side of the family.
So fast-forward to Friday…I just wasn't feeling hot. Nothing really in particular was wrong, I just didn't feel great. When I went to bed Friday night, it hit me like a freight train.
I was up with the stomach bug all night Friday. MISERABLE. At one point I was staring at the clock counting down the minutes until the sun came up and, hopefully, this would be over. Luckily, it did end about that point, and I was able to get some rest.
We had planned on doing Christmas with Noah's side of the family Saturday, so we went on as planned…just much more relaxed than previously planned.
There was definitely no lack of presents for the grand babies. We just were all in pajamas and very relaxed. That was actually kind of nice!
(Excuse these pictures - I was clearly out of it and not paying attention to my camera settings, so they're pretty crummy.)
We got a few pictures of this girls together. This is what happens when you ask two toddlers to say cheese…
Two toddlers that are clearly not camera-shy, mind you. :)
Again, there were lots of presents…
…and lots of fun with cousin.
This is such a fun age for Christmas!
Saturday night, the stomach bug continued around here…my mother in law and Noah were the next victims. My niece got a touch of it Sunday, but fought it off really well. We're hoping that's the end of it. There has been lots of Lysol used around here in the past few hours.
Christmas is never a dull time, but this one will definitely be remembered. :)
