The Mommy Morning Schedule

They aren't kidding when they say that a baby changes everything.

Everything! Even so much as getting ready in the morning.  I remember thinking I was rushed and busy in the mornings even before Emma Ramey.  And I laugh at that now.

Sure, I did have to go somewhere each day before I had her, but there is just something about having a child that doubles the time it takes to do anything.

Let's compare my before-and-after Emma Ramey morning schedules, shall we?

Before Emma Ramey...

6:30am:  Wake Up, Shower

6:45am : Leisurely put on my makeup and do my hair

7:00am: Fix breakfast, maybe talk to Noah for a few minutes in the morning

7:15am: Have a peaceful 15-20 minute drive to eat breakfast, listen to the radio, think clearly.

After Emma Ramey...

7:15am: Wake Up, possibly have time to start seeing clearly before I have to take care of another child for the day.  Possibly.

7:30am: Emma Ramey wakes up, I feed and change her, not using a stitch of toothpaste, deodorant, or makeup yet.  It's shameful, really.

8:15am: Emma Ramey plays, and I might have a few minutes to make myself somewhat presentable.
I do the basics--throw on some makeup, put my hair in a ponytail, try to get on a little bit of lotion and perfume, brush my teeth.

This child usually rummages through random things in my bathroom in the meantime.

See?  Things changed a little.  So now I need things to be easier and faster in the mornings.

That's where things like Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer come in.  This is a must-have for my new "Mommy" morning schedule.  It is a continuous spray lotion that absorbs in seconds with just a little bit of rubbing in.  Moisturizing is one of those things that can go by the wayside when you're busy, but with this, it really doesn't have to.  It absorbs in 10 seconds or less, so there's no excuse not to leave your skin feeling healthy and soft.

Recently, I tried the Total Moisture® variant.  It has a pure oat extract and goes on incredibly quick.  You just "spray up, switch hands, spray down, and rub in!"  Seriously, easy peasy.  With this, I can get dressed and get on with my day, instead of waiting on a sticky moisturizer to dry.

It might be a little bit more stressful, but I think I like this new morning schedule more.  After all, I get to spend it with this cheesing baby. :)
