Monday Mish-Mash

We were in work mode again this weekend. Noah and my brother finished up some more of the flooring project - this weekend was the quarter round!
(Ignore my gross floors.  I have a dog and a baby.)

This might not look like that big of a deal, but it is've been able to see the raw edges of the hardwood in our living room for the past year, and now you can't! I think it looks great. They aren't quite done, but it's close!
As of this weekend, we are officially in birthday party mode!  It's not for over a month, but y'all - a first birthday takes a LOT of planning (or at least it does when you're a crazy organizer like me).  I bought a good bit of what I'm going to need, and started a few of the decorations!  I also have about 10 lists going on my computer right now.
Noah and I also tested out a few of the party foods this weekend!  You know, for quality control. :)  I really just wanted to make sure we could handle some of the more complicated things (cake pops and cotton candy) or if we needed to buy them.  I think they turned out pretty well!
I finally broke down and put Emma Ramey in 18 month pajamas last night.  I'm a little heartbroken about it - something about 18 month seems SO big.  But it was time...those poor 12 month pajamas were stretched to the max.  Next up is switching her closet over to 18 month clothes!
I also got brave this morning - her crib bumper went back in her bed for the first time in 10 months.  I have been too chicken to put it back in, but I think she's past it being a risk now, and I made sure she can't climb on it.  The child LOVES it - she rolled around in her bed for a solid 30 minutes like a crazy woman.  That's one of the reasons I put it back in...we can hear her bumping against the walls when she naps, and I know it hurts her!  Hopefully this will be a little more comfortable for her.  I'm still sitting here worrying about it during her first nap with them though. :)
Don't forget - you can still enter the giveaway for a $50 Origami Owl credit here!
