I've been doing a lot of shopping lately. Y'all know me, I'm queen cheap-o, but for some reason I've just been in the "you can't take it with you" mood lately. I had a ton of Amazon gift cards saved up from Swagbucks (click that link if you haven't joined yet - it's awesome!), so I decided to use them!
-I have been DYING for this canister set for forever. If you remember my napkin rings, they match those. It's Arthur Court's Tuscan Fleur De Lis set. My new obsession!
(what is on my counter by the way? Gross. Note to self - wipe counters down after you post this.)
I got this frame too a few weekends ago...it wasn't very expensive at all, and I'm obviously on a fleur de lis kick right now.
-I also got this cute dog treat canister. We had been putting Hardy's dog treats in another Arthur Court piece that completely is not dog related whatsoever. It looked kind of funny with dog treats in it, so I switched to this. This is Arthur Court too (call you tell I'm addicted?).
I picked up a Christmas present for someone in addition to these...for all of that, plus a few more random things, I spent $36 out of pocket. Almost $400 worth of stuff! All thanks to my swagbucks gift cards and a promo they had going.
-Tuscaloosa folks: If you haven't been to Treasure Hunt yet, GO! It is the most awesome store ever. For example: I bought Banana Republic jeans there a couple of months ago for like $20 a pair. A couple of weekends ago, I got $250 worth of Ann Taylor Loft stuff for $50 (this is the Hattiesburg one, so I'm not sure if the Tuscaloosa one would have it, but they usually have the same things). I don't ever buy clothes when they're not on sale, so these were a find for me!
-Ok, so now to the shopping I'm NOT going to do...my freezer/deep freeze are like overflowing right now. So I've decided it is completely ridiculous to have this much food (and to possible have to throw food away) and go shopping every week. So I'm not grocery shopping for the whole month of November.
Now I'm not saying I won't go pick up something here and there, but we have got to use up some of the things we have before we buy more. It's just out of control, and there's no point in buying more right now. I'm probably going to have to get creative, but I think I can do it!
-Finally, for the shopping you might want to do... I bought my new Vera Bradley set a few weeks ago...I'm super happy with it. It's the Sittin' in a Tree pattern.
I like it. :)
But, now I have my old set, and I'm selling it on eBay. It ends tomorrow, so if you know somebody that needs new Vera for Christmas, it's still in good shape! You can look at it here.
Like I said, it's good to be careful with your money, but you can't take it with you. I figure we've deserved a couple of treats over the past few weeks!
