My Form of Retail Therapy

First and foremost, I can never thank you guys enough for the sweet comments and advice you left me yesterday.  I prayed about it for the majority of yesterday morning, and got a call from the other person involved yesterday afternoon that just really answered my prayers.  We talked, and I realized that I wasn't really even the cause of the situation...just the "straw that broke the camel's back."  It was just a wrong place, wrong time kind of thing, and all is forgiven.  I feel so much better!

This morning, Noah's been feeling kind of yucky.  I don't know if he's getting the bug or what, but we stayed home from church because I don't want to infect the entire place if he does have the crud.  So I got all of my shopping done for this previous week (because I haven't had time to do it yet!).

I've started on this Walgreen's kick.  It's definitely not as straight-forward with the savings as the grocery stores, but it actually works if you have all of the coupons and follow it meticulously.  I got to talking to a friend's mom in line though, and missed the fact that I was a few cents under for a sale.  BUMMER.  So not as good of a deal as I hoped, but still not bad!

Between a quick run to Walgreen's last night, Publix this morning, and Walgreen's today, I paid (around) $23 for all of the following:

Walgreen's last night:

4 Reach Toothbrushes - on sale for $3.00 each, then had a B1G1 free coupon (manufacturer) and a $5.01/3 coupon (store) - $1.80 total

Publix Today:

3 4-packs Yoplait Yogurt - Normally $2.50 each, on sale for B1G1 free, had 3 $1/1 coupons - 75 cents total

1 Gallon Milk - $3.19

1 Birmingham, 1 Tuscaloosa News  - $3.38

Walgreen's Today:

2 Oral B Toothbrushes (we're good on toothbrushes FOR AWHILE) - On sale for $3.50 each, had 2 75 cents/1 coupons, and got back $2 in Register Rewards for buying 2 (so like $1.75 each!)

2 Revlon Products - Normally $9.98, had $3 in coupons - $6.98 (this is the one that made me mad - I was talking and didn't realize I was under $10 for this...you had to be at $10 to get $5 in Register Rewards...I missed out by TWO CENTS!  I was so ill.)

1 Box Electrasol Tablets - On sale for $3.49 each, had 50 cents off 1 coupon, then got $1 register reward back!

I was also able to use $6 in register rewards I got a couple of weeks ago!

I'll admit, the drug store thing is harder than grocery shopping with coupons.  You've got to make sure you've got all of your ducks in a row before you get there, and even then a sale can be different/not there that you need.  Take your cell phone if you've got internet...you'll need it! :)
