I spent $62 this week AND stayed under my $25/week budget! How you ask?
Every once in a while, Publix offers a $50 BP gift card for $40 (with a $25 purchase). I figure - you have to buy gas anyway, why not save 20% on it? Plus, the gas at BP is always cheaper around here. I LOVE when they run this!
So, for $22 in groceries this week, here's what I got:
6 Boxes Mueller's Pasta: Normally $1.49 each, on sale for B1G1 Free, had 2 $1/3 coupons...$2.50 for 6 boxes
2 Boxes Smuckers Uncrustables...Normally $2.67 each, had 2 $1/1 coupons...$3.34 total
2 Bottles All Detergent - Normally $5.99, on sale for B1G1 free, had 2 $1/1 coupons...$3.99 total
Publix Paper Towels - Penny item this week
9 Bags Lender's Bagels - Normally $2.09 each, on sale for B1G1 Free - $9.40 total (This might seem like overkill, but these freeze VERY well! We have them for breakfast every morning.)
2 Dozen Eggs - Normally $1.89 each, had a B1G1 free coupon ... $1.89 for both cartons
3 Packs Lance Sandwich Crackers - Normally $2.89 each, on sale for B1G1 free, had 3 $1/1 coupons...$1.33 total
4 Boxes Uncle Ben's Rice - Normally $1.99 each, on sale for B1G1 Free, had 2 $1/2 coupons...$2 total
So, for about $22, I got $67 worth of groceries...for about a 67% savings. Pretty good week!
Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! I'm making a couple of fun things tonight...I'll post the recipes tomorrow!
