Well, I think we all know who my favorite Valentine's date is...
If you're new to my blog, Noah and I have been together since 2005 and married since 2007. I still feel like we're in the newlywed stage sometimes, and then there are those times I think we've been together forever. He's pretty awesome!
We don't make a terribly huge deal out of Valentine's day. I guess it's because our anniversary is in December, and we got engaged in January, so we've already celebrated all we can at that point...haha! It is fun to celebrate though. I can't wait until we have kids on Valentine's day...that's when it really is going to be FUN!
Last year, we actually started the tradition of making our Valentine's day date at home. It's just so annoying dealing with the million people at restaurants on Valentine's day, plus it's much cheaper! And you get to fix whatever you want. It's the way to go...try it and see!
And as for gifts, I think the key is to keep it simple or go big...not in between. We usually just get something little (a card, some candy), and wait to get big presents for birthdays and Christmas. I'd MUCH rather get a big present 1 time a year than a bunch of small presents. But if you're going to go big, go BIG. Don't do it halfway - that's what I think.
