We've had a busy and difficult couple of days...Noah's step-grandfather (who we knew as Poppa Perry) passed away Monday morning. He was an incredibly sweet, caring, loving man, and will be missed very much!
We've been out of town since yesterday afternoon for the visitation and the funeral (he was from Selma, which is where Noah was born and lived until he was 5). Of course, I had to take a personal leave day today, so between getting together sub plans for today and yesterday afternoon, packing, and traveling, we basically haven't stopped in 3 days. :)
We've been home since around 3 today. I must say, it was nice for both of us to be home and in our PJ's by 3:30 this afternoon. I got the tree decorated, all of the Christmas decorations up, the fall decorations boxed and ready to put in the attic (yes, I'm just now getting around to that), some blog design stuff updated, and my house (somewhat) cleaned. That 2 inch (no kidding) stack of papers that needed to be graded didn't get touched, but I still feel like I got a lot accomplished!
I don't want to show the whole tree or house since Kelly is doing Christmas tree's tomorrow on her blog hop, but here's a little preview. :)
Don't mean to toot my own horn, but it looks gooood...besides the major gap in the top of the tree where I ran out of lights. Haha!!
