Groceries - November 22nd and 23rd

The grocery bill was kind of high this week....one word: coffee.  We needed it, and it was on sale, so it was time to buy!  Even when it's on sale, it's still expensive.  Hopefully we won't have to buy any until well into next year though!

I made two trips this week because the penny item was good!  We use sliced cheese like crazy, so I stoked up on it while it was (almost) free.  Here's what I got for around $49 (with tax)...

Celery - normally $1.69, on sale for 69 cents a pack

6 Knorr Rice/Noodle Sides - Normally $1.49 each, on sale for 75 cents each, had 3 coupons for 60 cents off 2...$2.70 for 6 packs

2 boxes Uncle Ben's Long Grain Rice - Normally $1.99 each, on sale for $1 each, had a coupon for $1 off 2...$1 for 2 boxes

3 Tubs Country Crock Mashed Garlic Potatoes - Normally $3.59, on sale for $1.79, had 3 coupons for $1 off 1...$2.38 for 3 tubs

2 Tubes Reduced Fat Pillsbury Crescent Rolls - Normally $2.35 each, on sale for $1.67 each, had a coupon for 50 cents off of 2 tubes (which doubled)...$2.34 for 2 tubes

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Tubs - Normally $2.89 each, on sale for $1.44 each, had 2 coupons for $1 off 1...89 cents for 2 tubs

2 Publix American Cheese Singles - Normally $2.39 each, penny item this week...2 cents total

1 Box Reduced Fat Ritz Crackers - Normally $3.39 each, on sale for $1.69, had a coupon for $1 off 1...69 cents total

Chinet Dinner Plates - Normally $5.99 a pack, on sale for $2.99 a pack, had a coupon for $1 off 1 pack...$2 total

2 Sara Lee Simple Sweets - Normally $3.39 each, on sale for $1.69 each, had 2 coupons for $1 off 1...$1.39 total for 2

2 Bags Dunkin Donuts Ground Coffee - Normally $7.49, on sale for $5.99, had 2 coupons for $1 off 1...$9.98 for 2 bags

1 Tub Folgers Coffee - Normally $8.99 each, on sale for $5.99, had a coupon for $1 off...$4.99 total

1 Tub Folgers Coffee - Normally $10.39 each, on sale for $6.99, had a coupon for $1 off...$5.99 total

2 Blocks Reduced Fat Velveeta Cheese - Normally $5.59 each, had a rain check for B1G1 Free, had 2 coupons for $1 off 1 block...$3.60 total

2 Blocks Philadelphia Fat Free Cream Cheese - Normally $1.89 each, on sale for $1.29 each, had 2 $1 off 1 coupons...58 cents for 2 blocks!

2 Loaves Publix White Bread - Normally $1.17 each, on sale for 79 cents each...$1.58 total

So, for about $43 (pretax), I got about $103 worth of groceries...that's a 58% savings!  Not too bad, since I did buy coffee. :)
