As obsessed as I am with having children, OF COURSE I already have my baby registry planned out!
There's lots of things I've already started thinking about, from looking at friends' registries and hearing the essentials. Here's a little list I've got going so far!

I'm really big on getting practical things on my registry. Diapers, baby lotion/bath, detergent, etc...if you're going to get something, you might as well get something you will use! We already have a diaper genie (our beagle used to use puppy pads, and it was the easiest/least smelly way to get rid of them), so all we would need is the refill cartridges for that.

I've heard Bumbo seats are great...and they're SO cute to see babies sit in!

I love love LOVE this pattern...it's Birkshire by Graco. I'm still undecided on whether or not it would be too girly for a boy...I'd like to get a pattern that we could re-use if we had another child.
If that one is too girly, I think this one is pretty gender neutral. It's Sienna by Graco. I've done a lot of research about what brands are best, and it seems that for price + value, Graco is the way to go.

These are great...Boppy pillows!

And, if you read Kelly's blog, you've heard about the Exersaucer. It looks fun for when the baby gets a little older.
Once again, I've looked into bottles. These seem to be the best for the baby!

I thought these spoons and bowls were really fun and colorful. :)

And HOW PRETTY would this be for a baby girl?

I also heard about this high chair from Kelly - it's an Anka chair. Very sleek looking (would look GREAT in our house)!

And bathing stuff...I've seen a lot of people with these little pod things on their registry. They look like they're right up my organizational alley! :)
Now, please let me know if anything I have on here is complete crap...I'd like to know before I get it! This is a fun week, because I get to learn from your mistakes before I make them... just kidding! :)

Your list looks great! But, for the Born Free bottles, we used them for about 2 weeks before I trashed them they were total crap. ;) We switched to Dr. Brown's and we LOVED them.
Girl....you are on the ball! You are a girl after my own heart!! I had my baby registry planned for years! You are so right about all the necessities over the "fluff." I say register for the necessities and then buy all the cutsie stuff on your own - no matter how hard some people try....they just have no taste - ha! so it's easier to just pick it out yourself. We have the pink bouncy seat and it is so cute for a little girl. I also recommend going gender neutral on everything you can seeing as how we have to pray that we have another girl because everything we own is PINK! Great list! =)
I LOVE the Born Free bottles- we've got twins and have never had a problem. We have two Bumbos and we used them maybe a dozen times. They just weren't that excited about sitting in them. Boppies are a must and Swaddlers were my favorite diapers when they were itty bitty- now we use cloth. We went fairly neutral (sage, brown, tan) for bedding since we didn't know if we were having boys or girls. I wish I would have gotten something brighter- it all just seems so "newborn" to me know. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE the bedding we chose, it just fit them better when they were wee. Now that they are mobile I need cowboys in there or something. I would say a Dr. Brown's formula mixing pitcher is a must if you formula feed- it makes it so much easier to have it all ready to go in the fridge when you are stumbling around the kitchen at 3am. And if you plan to breastfeed or pump? A *really* good pump (Medela) is a must. Wraps or slings are good too. I have a Moby and my husband uses a Baby Bjorn- both work great.
You are a lot like me - already thinking ahead!! I had most things picked out years before I finally got pregnant. It's fun to dream and plan, isn't it?!?
I think you are off to a great start. Something someone told me in looking at strollers was to look at the weight and size. I am glad I did because the Graco, I loved weighed 25lbs. I could not see myself lifting that a gazillion times when I was out. So I ended up buying a frame stroller and a maclaren for later on, it has worked perfect. I have a nice stroller for at home long walk use that I don't have to lift.
what a great list!!! Pampers are the best!! We've tried so many diapers and nothing compares :) We use Dr. Brown's bottles are they are fabulous too!
I have all my gear in birkshire and I love it!! I chose it in case my second is a boy, I don't think it is too girly. I have a 2 story and the shelvs on this pack n play have been a lifesaver And I think there is only one other pattern that has them. Best of luck!
Haha, my hubby and I aren't even pregnant yet but I have my baby registry planned out too! I didn't know anyone else did that (what a relief)! :) One thing... I work in a day care and Avent bottles are the best! Funnily, they don't get very good reviews online but that is usually from user error. Just thought I'd throw that out there. :) God bless!
I think we have all of that for Ava Grace too! Except for that high chair (we got the graco one to match our stuff) and we didn't have those bottles. I started with the playtex drop ins and she wouldn't take those. The only bottles I could get her to take good were the Dr Brown bottles. They also helped with her fussiness. They were a little more to clean but it was well worth it!!
What a great list! We have had many of those things but the last on your list is probably my favorite.
We have the ladybug pod and it is the best thing for scooping up those bathtoys! Also drains great so toys don't get yucky!
So after writing a book on here I decided to write my own post. Please, just call me a goofball. :)
BTW, we love those bowls and use them all the time. Laurel seems to really love the bright colors.
We got the Graco carseat in Birkshire especially because we thought it could go for either a girl or a boy! I love the pattern. People actually compliment me on my carseat - kinda weird, but okay! (We have a little girl, btw.) Great list! Blessings to you and sweet baby!
Some great ideas!
Cxx
You've got a good list going! We tried the Born Free bottles for a couple of weeks with Hudson and he spit up quite a bit. We switched to Dr. Brown's and haven't had a problem since. They're a little more expensive, but I really do think it cuts down on the spit up factor! Hudson loves his Bumbo! And those are the diapers we've always used. We went with Britax on our carseat. They seem to have the best safety rating. And their seats go up to 65 lbs. for the most part, so you can use it for a long time. Good luck to you guys!
You are a lot like me - already thinking ahead!!
Work From Home
While normally I don't comment on many blogs especially people I don't actually know but... While I'm sure for many the bumbo seat is wonderful but considering the cost it didn't do much for us. Our little girl just wanted to lean over the side and try to get out. I've seen many that use the heck out of it but not useful for us. We used the born free bottles at first and there are so many pieces and they're SOO expensive that I would up going to evenflo purely comfi which are about $10 for a pack of 3. I've always heard good things about Dr. Browns also. Everything else seems great either the same or just different version of what we used. The boppy bouncy seat was an absolute LIFESAVER for us. Our daughter had reflux VERY BAD and had to sleep upright and slept in this seat for nearly the first 6 months- TOTALLY worth the money!! Pack n Play another amazing addition!
These are some great baby registry items. I love the value packages that give you like the lotion, baby wash, etc.
