It's The Final Countdown

So you heard what I was planning on doing last night? Here's what I actually did.

-Revised the blog I had to do.
-Attempted to cut the grass. Got about halfway done when the lawnmower wouldn't crank. Tried everything I knew to do. Had a complete breakdown and called Noah, hysterical over a lawnmower.
-Took the rest of the night off.

Everybody reaches their breaking point, and I hit mine last night. Over a lawnmower. I guess it's good it happened then rather than when school started, or God forbid, when I was teaching. I had my moment, and I've moved on, much more collected and ready to conquer the world :)

14 hours from right now, I will be an official employee of the Tuscaloosa City Schools.

Exciting, but a little intimidating.

I spent the entire day doing absolutely nothing related to school. I took a long bath, got my nails done, cleaned my house, and tonight I have to work on blogs. I figured it's going to be a long time before I have a weekday (or day at all, for that matter) where I don't work on school stuff.

Am I nervous? Absolutely. Do I think I can't do it. Absolutely not.

I'm a teacher when I wake up in the morning. :)

You will a fantastic teacher! And I am sorry that you had such rough evening - but we've all been there - my breaking point came last week and it was over being out eggs (I really wanted french toast). Sometimes it is nice to have a mini breakdown and relase all the pent-up emotions.

You are going to be such a great teacher! Congrats! We all hit our breaking point at some point. Once I hit mine when I was around my fiance when we had only when dating a couple months. We went to KFC and they gave me coleslaw(which I hate) instead of mac and cheese. I broke down and cried hysterically until he was so sweet to trade meals with me. I knew he was a keeper then. I thought he would think I was crazy, but he didn't! Sometimes it happens at the worst moments!
