I do believe this week will go down as a success. 🙂
I can honestly not believe I made it through my first week of teaching. Really. I guess I had never really thought about the possibility of making it through. I just assumed I would die or spontaneously combust or something after the first day or so.
And I’ve got to say that I loved it!
Granted, getting the kids into a routine is pretty tough. I can’t wait until that’s done, because chasing around 19 six year olds can be pretty tiring. I literally came home one night this week and couldn’t feel anything below my knees. That’s how exhausted I’ve been.
But I do love this!
As a “you made it through your first week” surprise, Noah took me to see The Time Travelers Wife yesterday. It was good, but expect a super cheesy chick flick. I cried. Noah laughed. That’s just his style.
After that, we had an awesome dinner on our back porch, on our new patio furniture (which I just realized I haven’t shown yet…)
…as the sun was setting. It was so pretty.
So today, we’re headed to church and then to the school. Work calls. 🙂
