What a Difference a Day Makes

I got SO much done in the classroom yesterday! I am basically finished (with the decorating part anyway) after today!

I'm going to wait until Friday to show my room all finished and pretty, so this isn't everything I got done yesterday. These are just a few "teaser" pictures. :)

And, as a sidenote, this is what happens when you paint with black and white oil-based paint for two days.

Washing/scrubbing does NOTHING. And I've tried paint thinner too. I look like the grim reaper.

  8. Maybe try "denatured alcohol"? You can find it in the painting section at any home improvement store. I don't know how well it would work on oil-based paint though but it works like a charm with regular laytex paint on hardwood flooring or bathroom tile without taking any of the finishes off.

Your room looks very cute! Can't wait to see the final pics when you post them!

  14. I have been in education for almost 40 years and you are truly an inspiration. I know very few teachers who paint their own classroom. You have a very lucky groups of students entering in the fall. Remarkable!
