I'm home from my new hire workshop! It was great...I got to meet the other two first grade teachers that I'll be working with, and I met a lot of other teachers from the school. We've got a really good group! AND...all of my paperwork is (almost) done. I have to send in a college transcript and a TB skin test, and that's it! I love that it's all finally happening.
Since I've been home for the summer, I have started watching a lot of shows that I just didn't have time for during the school year. Does anybody else watch CMT's version of Cribs? I think it might be my new favorite! I love that it shows really nice southern homes...you just don't see that very often. No offense against people from the North, but the South just has a different style of houses and a different way of decorating. It's really interesting (and nice to dream of a house that big...haha!).
And I am OBSESSED with this show. It is so dramatic! I hate when I'M in drama, but to be honest, I love watching it on TV. Bad, I know. Noah watched this with me last night and said it's the worst show I've ever watched. He can just stay in the living room next time. :)
And oh, Jon and Kate Plus 8. I started watching last Memorial Day Weekend when they did that marathon and I've been addicted ever since. It's just so sad now! Yet I still watch :)
And before you ask, I don't do American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, etc...I just can't get into those. I don't know why...it might be because the really interesting part doesn't come until the very absolute end of every show. Not that they're bad if you watch them, I just don't!
A little reader input here...are there any shows I'm missing?? I'm new to this whole watching TV thing because I had ZERO time for it when I was student teaching. What should I be watching??
And now, I'm off to do another blog. I'll post it when I'm done!

Hi Leslie! I've been following your blog for awhile (forgot how I even found it), but don't think I've ever "introduced myself." My name is Bailey- my fiance and I are getting married in September and reading your posts about your cruise has made me totally okay with doing on for our honeymoon. At first I said no because I didn't want to be stuck in a cramped room, but reading your stories reminded me how much fun it is! So we'll see... it's still up in the air for now.
As far as TV goes, I watched House, Desperate Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy religiously (and so did my fiance, shhh!) for the last 3-4 years, but recently had some problems with our DVR so now I am totally behind on all of them. But they're still my favorites =) I'm just waiting for them to come out on DVD so I can catch back up!
Anyway...this might be the longest comment ever, but I love your blog! Your dog reminds me of ours, Sadie, and you and your hubby just seem like a fun, sweet couple!
Hey Leslie, long time no see! There are some shows on TLC you might like...There are some about people who buy homes and fix them up (either to keep or sell) I can't remember the names, but as much as you love decorating, you might like them.
You have just about all of the good ones down. ABC also does a show (after the Bachelorette I think) about Newlyweds and how well they know each other. It is a modern version of "The Newlywed" Game. It is pretty cute!
Hope all is well, congrats on your job, you'll be a great teacher!!
Oh yes, The Real Housewives of New Jersey is great! LOVE it! The best one to me though is The Real Housewives of Orange County, it was the first one of the "Real Housewives". There should be a new season coming up soon!
I am VERY late to this party, but I just found your blog so I am catching up. I am the same way with drama - I hate being involved in it, but I love to hear about and/or watch it!!! I am a big fan of all the Real Housewives show, especially OC and NYC.
