Show Us Where You Live Friday - Master Bedroom

My bedroom is just the greatest...it's one of the rooms I'm most proud of in my whole house.

That being said, I definitely don't think it's the most decorated or the fanciest.

It is, however, the most us. It is the room where we're the most comfortable. It's the room that has the most sentimental value to me.

Let me explain. ;)

Looking into the room from the hallway.

Our "bedroom set" was a steal - all of it (besides the bedside table) was part of the hotel liquidation I talked about in my living room tour. I painted the headboard and TV cabinet to match our black end table (that we already owned).

Your average bedside table. The picture is one of our engagement shots. And the coasters? Those are actually from Noah's room in his fraternity house. We've been using those things since we've been dating, and I just can't part with them.

I've mentioned in several room tours that I collect Arthur Court elephant pieces, and they are dotted throughout our house. This is the first piece I ever got - it was my birthday present from Noah the year we got married.

Hardy (my dog) sleeps in here too. He's quite comfortable in here as well.

Don't believe me?

I present Exhibit A - chew marks on the comforter...

...and Exhibit B - a big awkward crate. That he doesn't even use anymore.

We bought this painting at a local benefit auction last year. When we saw it, we just thought it was perfect for our bedroom (because of the two windows). We got a really good deal on it, and all of the proceeds went to a good cause!

Noah's baby - his big plasma screen. Surrounded by old VHS tapes - I'm in the middle of transferring my childhood videos to DVD.

My bouquet from our wedding, and an invitation. I just love this. :)

Updated: Several people have asked about where I had this done. I had an absolutely fabulous florist for my wedding that recommended this company do to my floral preservation. They are great - I highly recommend them!

The door looking into our master bath.

This fan is the big thing I remember from this room when we looked at the house originally. I thought it was so unique!

And, there's Hardy. Told ya he was comfy in here. :)

And now, you have officially seen my whole house! Want to see the rest of it, just in case you missed the previous weeks? Click here!

I love your tray ceiling. My puppers sleeps in our room too but not on our bed. I got rid of her crate a few years ago and she has not needed it since. I like a livable room. Good job.

HI! I love your space! I especially love the wedding flowers/invite frame. Could you give me details as to where you found such a beautiful piece? I'm getting married in March and I'm very, very sentimental and would LOVE to have something similar to this frame!

Thank you,
